Fri 23 July - Mountain Fresh Festival
kicks off
Jack Frost launches this year's Mountain Fresh Festival on Friday 23rd
July with the very best local produce and wines from the Alpine Valleys.
Get toasty at Jack Frost's intimate bar whilst the friendly staff tempt
you with delcious tasting plattters, local wine and beer and lucky door
prizes. Blues musician Ben Smith will set the scene with fantastic cruisy
tunes for what will be a night for all the senses.
Mon 26 July - Meet Your Maker’
Masterclass and Dinner
Blakes @ Zirky’s on Monday 26th July featuring a master class
and wine matching dinner hosted by wine critic Greg Duncan Powell. Featuring
wines from Rutherglen Estates, Pizzini Wines and Dal Zotto; it will
be followed by a three course dinner served with wines from these wineries.
Greg Duncan Powell will be on hand signing copies of his book ‘A
Rump & A Rough Red’.
Wed 28 July - The Mountain Fresh Top
Chef Challenge
Hotham's talented chefs cook off against each other creating their own
Mountain Fresh Dish using regional produce. Vote for your favourite
dish of the festival and nominate who should take the title of Top Chef
2010 which will be announced at a special awards night Wednesday 28th
July at Rundells Alpine Lodge Dinner Plain.

QantasLink to continue flights to Hotham
for 2010
QantasLink’s Sydney to Hotham flights will be
back this 2010 winter season with the airline announcing it will offer
additional services and an extended flight schedule, from 25 June 2010.
Services will run four times a week during the peak season and continue
until 12 September.
Increased snowmaking at Hotham
Snowmaking power at Hotham Alpine Resort will increase
by 40% this coming winter. An additional 22 state of the art high output
TechnoAlpin fan snow guns will be installed on hydrant points throughout
Hotham’s Heavenly Valley snowmaking network. Ther is now 100%
gun coverage on Hotham’s signature runs of Upper Imagine, Milky
Way & Snake Gully and allows snow to be made from Mother Johnsons
into The Canyon. The new guns also provide snowmaking along the Mother
Johnson’s Return trail from the top of Heavenly Valley to the
Roadrunner chairlift.

Valley Chair
Guests will be able to enjoy more time on the Heavenly Valley area with
the comfort of new restroom facilities at the top of the Heavenly Valley
Chairlift in 2010.
